Ukraine has purchased 32 mobile shelters for gas infrastructure thanks to funding from the UK Foreign Office. \u20ac2.64 million was allocated for this purpose.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in a statement by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The department noted that one of the purchased shelters can accommodate up to 100 people, 21 shelters can accommodate up to 50 people, and another 10 can accommodate up to 25 people.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the shelters were transferred through the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine and fully installed at gas distribution facilities in nine regions: Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Volyn, Vinnytsia, Kyiv and Kirovohrad.<\/p>\n

The funds were allocated not only to purchase the necessary materials, but also to install shelters. As a result, gas distribution facilities received fully equipped protective structures, ready for use.<\/p>\n

They will help protect gas industry workers during Russian attacks. This will allow emergency and operational teams to remain close to critical facilities, respond faster to damage, and maintain stable gas supplies, the Ministry of Energy noted.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Lithuania transferred more than 17 tons of energy equipment to Kyiv and seven regions of Ukraine for the needs of critical infrastructure on the eve of the heating season.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition, Germany is additionally allocating about 250 million euros to restore the Ukrainian energy sector on the eve of winter.<\/p>\n
