A humanitarian catastrophe is ongoing in the temporarily occupied town of Oleshki in the Kherson region. About two thousand people remain in the town itself, facing critical problems with access to food and medicine, while the possibility of leaving is effectively blocked.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> the head of the Oleshkiv city military administration, Tetyana Hasanenko, on Radio Charter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Bible writes about hell, but hell is on earth \u2013 and it is in Oleshki,\u201d she described the situation in the occupied city.<\/p>\n

According to local authorities, about 1.7\u20132 thousand people remain in Oleshki directly. At the same time, it is impossible to establish the exact number of residents due to the occupation. According to Hasanenko’s updated data, up to 6 thousand people may be in the entire Oleshkiv community, including at least 180 children<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

The supply situation remains critical. The last food truck arrival in the city was on May 26.<\/strong> An attempt to deliver food on September 1 also failed: the transport was forced to turn around due to a mined road, and on the way back it was attacked by drones.<\/p>\n\t

Residents of the city also have limited access to medicine and medical care. Road mines, shelling, and constant drone attacks make it virtually impossible to deliver essential supplies and evacuate people.<\/p>\n

Hasanenko noted that the humanitarian crisis has not only affected Oleshki. According to the MVA, five of the community’s 13 settlements have been completely destroyed, and the situation in the others also remains extremely difficult.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russia is preparing to hold another illegal “election” to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories. The SBU called on<\/a> Ukrainians at the TOT not to help the occupiers organize pseudo-voting.<\/p>\n
