The Yaroslavl Refinery in Russia halted crude oil processing on September 17 after a Ukrainian drone attack. The strike damaged one of the plant’s main units, which was providing about 40% of its capacity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the AVT-3 primary oil refining unit, which could process over 17 thousand tons of raw materials per day.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, another AVT-4 unit, which accounts for about a third of the refinery’s capacity, was already under repair. It was damaged during a previous drone attack on August 28.<\/p>\n

As a result, the Yaroslavl Refinery was actually left without two main primary oil processing units.<\/p>\n

The consequences of the strike have already affected fuel supplies. On Thursday, products from the Yaroslavl Refinery were not offered for sale on the Russian domestic commodity exchange.<\/p>\n

Slavneft Yaroslavnaftoorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, September 17, drones attacked several regions of Russia<\/a> . In Rostov-on-Don, a fire probably broke out on the territory of a military airfield, and in Yaroslavl, the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery caught fire.<\/p>\n
