Ukraine is introducing new rules for railway and train station operations depending on the level of air threat. At a yellow level, trains will continue to run, and at a red level, passenger boarding and departures will be temporarily suspended.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky.<\/p>\n

During the yellow threat level, trains will run according to schedule, and passengers will continue to board and disembark at stations.<\/p>\n

If a red alert is declared, passenger boarding and train departures will be suspended. People should go to shelters during this time.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia will be able to change traffic depending on the situation at a specific station. If necessary, the company will limit traffic and disperse trains and passengers to avoid large crowds.<\/p>\n

There are also plans to increase the number of available shelters at train stations. Ukrzaliznytsia will work on this together with regional administrations and communities.<\/p>\n

The railway will receive information about the threat level automatically so that decisions about stopping or resuming work can be made immediately.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police should strengthen security at train stations and assist in the evacuation of passengers.<\/p>\n

The regions were also instructed to adjust the operation of public transport to the train schedule, particularly at night. Mobile shelters should be installed near train stations as soon as possible. <\/p>\n
