The document calls for the withdrawal of unauthorized Russian military and other personnel from the Zaporizhzhia NPP and the restoration of full sovereign control of Ukraine over the plant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/andrii_sybiha\/status\/2100691452661563593\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">was announced by<\/a> the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the resolution confirms the need to guarantee nuclear safety and security, comply with international law, withdraw Russian military and other unauthorized personnel from the Zheleznodorozhny NPP, and return the plant to full control of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am grateful to Canada for its leadership in promoting the resolution and to all IAEA member states that supported it,\u201d said Sibiga.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, <strong>49 countries and the European Union<\/strong> supported a joint statement calling for the immediate release of detained Ukrainian workers at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.<\/p>\n<p>These include Serhiy Korzh, Serhiy Poting, and Ruslan Lavryk. According to Sybiga, Korzh has been in Russian captivity since 2022, while Poting and Lavryk have been tortured and have health problems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey cannot be used as a bargaining chip in Russia&#8217;s war against Ukraine,\u201d the Foreign Minister emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>Sybiga stated that the occupation and militarization of the ZNPP, as well as the detention of the station&#8217;s employees, create risks for nuclear safety far beyond Ukraine&#8217;s borders.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, earlier &#8220;Pryamiy&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/cherhovyy-blekaut-na-zaes-v-enerhoatomi-poperedyly-pro-ryzyky\/\">wrote<\/a> that the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP had again lost external power supply and switched to backup diesel generators.
