A 40-year-old man was killed in the strike, while the number of injured rose to eight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The State Emergency Service of Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/dsns.gov.ua\/news\/nadzvicaini-podiyi\/xarkivshhina-vnaslidok-ataki-rosiian-na-elektropoyizd-je-zagiblii-ta-postrazdali\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> the latest figures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATED. According to rescuers, the number of people injured in the Russian attack on the commuter train has risen to eight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov reported seven people injured and the death of a 40-year-old man.<\/p>\n<p>Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/oleksandr.pertsovskyi\/posts\/pfbid02jYTUfZsP47dDWaw5eKag2wwqiwR18Akm8RLCFXJLM14zH9RY6N3ehTshyRyWYwDrl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">described<\/a> the circumstances of the attack. According to him, the train had been stopped to evacuate passengers before the strike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe train had stopped to evacuate passengers. According to preliminary information, two passengers who did not move the required distance away from the rolling stock together with the train crew and remained on the platform were seriously injured,\u201d Pertsovskyi said.<\/p>\n<p>Ukrzaliznytsia stressed that in the event of an attack threat, passengers must immediately follow the train crew\u2019s instructions and move a safe distance away from the rolling stock.<\/p>\n<p>Rescuers, medics and other emergency services are working at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Russian forces <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiyski-viyska-atakuvaly-potiah-kyiv-mykolaiv\/\">attacked the Kyiv \u2013 Mykolaiv passenger train<\/a>.
