An earthquake was recorded in the Lviv region on the morning of September 17. The tremors occurred in the Sambir district at a depth of 3 kilometers, but were so weak that people did not feel them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Main Center for Special Control.<\/p>\n

According to him, the earthquake was registered at 01:31:45 Kyiv time. Its magnitude was 2.0 on the Richter scale.<\/p>\n

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 49.12 north latitude and 22.99 east longitude. It is located in the Carpathians, near the village of Nyzhnia Yablunka and relatively close to the border with Poland.<\/p>\n

The GCSC noted that according to the classification, this is not a tangible earthquake.<\/p>\n

This is the fourth earthquake registered in Ukraine since the beginning of September. Previously, tremors were recorded in Chernivtsi region, Ivano-Frankivsk region and Transcarpathia. The strongest of them was the earthquake on September 15 in Transcarpathia – magnitude 2.5.<\/p>\n

The specialists of the State Center for Earthquake Research (GCSR) are asking Ukrainians to report if they have felt any earthquake tremors. Such data helps to clarify the energy parameters of the earthquake.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, an earthquake with a magnitude of 1.7<\/a> was recorded in the Transcarpathian region. The tremors occurred at a depth of about seven kilometers.<\/p>\n
