Discussions have been postponed to Monday, September 21.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurointegration.com.ua\/news\/2026\/09\/18\/7245783\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is reported by<\/a> &#8220;European Pravda&#8221; with reference to several European diplomats. According to them, a meeting of the EU Permanent Representatives Committee (Coreper) was held on the morning of September 18, but a joint decision could not be made.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;Ambassadors gathered for a Coreper meeting this morning and did not reach an agreement on extending the sanctions. It was agreed that the discussion would continue on Monday,&#8221; one of the sources told the publication.<\/p>\n<p> The current EU sanctions regime expires at midnight on Tuesday, September 22. The Council of the EU website states that these restrictions were last extended until September 22, 2026. They include, among other things, an asset freeze, a ban on providing funds to sanctioned individuals, and restrictions on entry into the EU.<\/p>\n<p> These are sanctions against people and organizations responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> As previously reported, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/yevrosoiuz-prodovzhyv-sanktsii-proty-rf-lyshe-na-tyzhden-shcho-vidomo\/\">the European Union has extended sanctions against Russia for 7 days<\/a> over its violation of Ukraine&#8217;s territorial integrity.
