The Cabinet of Ministers is launching a comprehensive review of the public administration system. The government plans to reduce unnecessary vacant positions, review the number of employees in central executive bodies, and the number of deputy ministers and heads of departments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced<\/a> by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky.<\/p>\n

According to him, in wartime conditions, the state apparatus must work faster and more efficiently, so the government will conduct a comprehensive analysis of its work.<\/p>\n

\u201cA comprehensive analysis will be conducted – where there are duplications of functions, unnecessary processes, and reserves for optimization,\u201d said Koretsky.<\/p>\n

Separately, the Cabinet of Ministers will review the number of employees in central executive bodies.<\/p>\n

“We will reduce unnecessary vacant positions. We will also review the number of deputy ministers and deputy heads of central government bodies. After a detailed analysis, the objective need for the number of employees will be determined in accordance with the real scope of the tasks and functions of the state,” the Prime Minister explained.<\/p>\n

Another direction will be the digitalization of public administration. The government will analyze digital governance and automation of internal processes in central government bodies to reduce time and resources spent on operations that can be automated.<\/p>\n

They also plan to change approaches to professional training of civil servants in accordance with the current needs of the state.<\/p>\n

The heads of ministries and central executive bodies have already received relevant instructions. State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Kostyantyn Mar’evich will coordinate and monitor their implementation.<\/p>\n

Recall that earlier the government announced a regime of austerity for budget funds<\/a> not directly related to defense. According to Koretsky, thanks to the review of expenditures, it was possible to find about UAH 70 billion, which are planned to be allocated to the needs of the Defense Forces.<\/p>\n
