A 3-day voting period in the “elections” to the State Duma of the Russian Federation has ended in Russia, with United Russia gaining more than half of the votes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by Russian media.<\/p>\n

According to the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, the preliminary turnout at the time of the end of voting at 8:55 p.m. was 56.66%.<\/p>\n

According to the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, United Russia received 49.4% of the vote, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation received 14.2%, the Liberal Democratic Party received 10.7%, New People received 9.7%, and A Just Russia received 6.6%.<\/p>\n

According to INSOMAR (a Russian research and sociological company), United Russia is gaining 52.8%, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation – 14.8%, the Liberal Democratic Party – 9.9%, New People – 8.6%, and A Just Russia – 5.5%.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the last polling stations closed at 9:00 PM in the Kaliningrad region.<\/p>\n

The State Duma elections were held in the absence of political competition, and in the fifth year of the war, when Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries caused fuel shortages, the range of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes is increasing every day, and the Russian army is in deep crisis.<\/p>\n

Most candidates who openly opposed the war in Ukraine were barred from the election. In August, Russia’s Supreme Court revoked the registration of the federal list of Yabluk, the only registered party that openly opposed the war.<\/p>\n

Russia also did not invite independent international observers.<\/p>\n
