Trump had previously called on Zelensky to stop such attacks, citing the situation on the global fuel market.<\/p>\n<p> Following the talks, Zelenskyy announced that he had agreed with Trump to meet in person in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The Ukrainian president called the conversation important and noted that the two sides discussed a number of issues.<\/p>\n<p> Zelenskyy also thanked Trump for the visit to Kyiv of his special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. According to the president, during the visit, the American delegation was able to thoroughly discuss the situation and develop ideas for next steps.<\/p>\n<p> This includes possible de-escalation measures and issues of energy and food security, as well as the protection of civilians.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is ready to take &#8220;truly serious steps&#8221; to advance the diplomatic process.
