Israeli citizen Yonatan Karlinsky, who was returning from Uman after celebrating Rosh Hashanah, also held Ukrainian citizenship and was wanted by the police. Therefore, border guards handed him over to the National Police.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The State Border Service of Ukraine reported this.<\/p>\n

The State Tax Service of Ukraine noted that foreigners crossing the state border are not checked for military registration in Ukraine. Furthermore, border guards do not conduct mobilization activities directly at checkpoints.<\/p>\n

At the same time, when Karlinsky’s documents were being processed, it was discovered that he also held Ukrainian citizenship. The relevant military registration records contained information about his being on the wanted list.<\/p>\n

As a result, the man was transferred to National Police representatives for further investigation in accordance with established procedures. The State Tax Service specifically noted that the information about the alleged mobilization of a foreign citizen directly at the checkpoint does not correspond to the actual circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n

Israeli media previously reported that 49-year-old Karlinsky may have been mobilized after being detained at the Romanian border. According to them, he had lived in Israel for approximately 14 years, but was born in Ukraine and held Ukrainian citizenship. Friends and relatives claimed that he went silent after his detention and was then allegedly taken to a military unit.<\/p>\n

Thus, the very fact of Karlinsky’s detention and transfer to the police is confirmed by the State Tax Service of Ukraine, while information about further mobilization comes from reports in Israeli and Ukrainian media.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Pryamyi reported that 49-year-old Israeli citizen Yonatan Karlinsky-Mashek, who had come to Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, was detained in Ukraine<\/a> . After attempting to leave the country, he disappeared from contact, and his family was subsequently reportedly informed of the decision to mobilize him into the Ukrainian Armed Forces. <\/p>\n
