During the attack, a large-scale fire engulfed the building.<\/p>\n<p> The Railway Market was built in <strong>1973.<\/strong> The building was one of the recognizable examples of Kyiv modernism. The project was created by architects Alla Anishchenko and Natalia Chmutina. The market received the popular name \u201cShayba\u201d because of its characteristic round shape. <br \/><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?24\" data-telegram-post=\"nashkyivua\/56524\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><br \/> During the same attack, a Russian drone hit one of the buildings in the Europassage business park on Sim&#8217;yi Prakhovykh Street. Nearby office buildings were also damaged.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"> Also, published photos from the station area show a large-scale fire in <strong>the Ultramarine shopping center<\/strong> building, which houses the Butterfly Ultramarine cinema, the Silpo supermarket, and other establishments. The shopping center is located near the Central Railway Station.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"> \t<div class=\"shortcode-wide-image\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/photo_2026-09-23_14-23-59.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p> In general, the Russian attack covered several districts of Kyiv. In the Solomyanskyi district, a UAV also fell on a store building. In the Holosiivskyi district, a drone fell on the territory of a transport infrastructure facility, and earlier fires were recorded there at a gas station and in warehouses. In the Darnytskyi district, a transport infrastructure facility was hit.<\/p>\n<p> As of 1:30 p.m. <strong>, two people were killed and 25 others injured<\/strong> in the attack on the capital. Of these, 17 were in hospital.<\/p>\n<p> Smoke was also seen in Kyiv due to fires following Russian strikes. The Kyiv City State Administration recommended that residents close their windows and limit their time outdoors, while air quality remained within normal limits.<\/p>\n<p> As a reminder, on the morning of September 23, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/rosiyskyy-bpla-vdaryv-po-azs-u-kyievi-pershi-podrobytsi\/\">a Russian UAV hit a gas station in Kyiv<\/a> .
