Through such emails, attackers are trying to obtain users&#8217; personal and banking details.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The State Special Communications Service <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/dsszzi_official\/9116\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">was notified<\/a> about this.<\/p>\n<p> Fake messages can come via email or instant messaging. In them, scammers offer to allegedly pay for electricity, click on a link, or open an attached file.<\/p>\n<p> The links may lead to fake websites where the user is asked to enter personal information or credit card details. The attachments may also contain malware.<\/p>\n<p> In this case, attackers can gain access to accounts, bank accounts, or infect the device with malware.<\/p>\n<p> The State Service for Special Communications emphasized that <strong>the Ministry of Energy does not issue electricity bills to consumers and does not collect utility payments<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p> Payments come only from the electricity supplier with which the consumer has a contract.<\/p>\n<p> Ukrainians are advised not to click on suspicious links, open unknown attachments, or enter bank details on third-party sites. Payment information should only be checked through the official services of your provider.<\/p>\n<p> If the data has already been compromised by fraudsters, you should contact the bank and the Cyber Police.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that earlier, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/zlovmysnyky-vydaiut-sebe-za-pratsivnykiv-sbu-z-iavylas-nova-shakhrayska-skhema\/\">scammers began impersonating SBU employees<\/a> . They sent people fake calls and demanded money, allegedly to avoid criminal liability.<\/p>\n<p> Also <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/shakhrayski-posylannia-u-facebook-administratory-pochaly-otrymuvaty-povidomlennia-nibyto-pro-blokuvannia-storinok\/\">, fraudulent messages with phishing links have been distributed on Facebook<\/a> in the past.
