In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Russia has launched a large-scale information campaign on the anniversary of the illegal pseudo-referendums. Kremlin-controlled media are trying to present the occupation as a \u201choliday\u201d and a period of supposedly large-scale positive changes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Center for Countering Disinformation.<\/p>\n

According to the Central Propaganda Center, Russian propaganda resources are actively promoting materials dedicated to events four years ago and are trying to legitimize the illegal annexation of Ukrainian territories.<\/p>\n

In such stories, the occupation media talk about alleged \u201crevolutionary changes,\u201d \u201creconstruction of infrastructure,\u201d assistance from Russian regions, and long-term plans for the development of the occupied territories.<\/p>\n

At the same time, as the Center emphasizes, Russian propaganda is hushing up the consequences of the invasion – destroyed cities, the death of civilians, and humanitarian problems caused by the occupation.<\/p>\n

The CPD believes that the goal of such a campaign is to displace mentions of the real cost of Russian aggression from the information space and to consolidate among the population the version of events imposed by the Kremlin.<\/p>\n\t

Earlier, the Russian Federation intensified pre-election propaganda in the temporarily occupied territories<\/a> . According to the Central Intelligence Agency, the occupation authorities used demonstration improvement projects to create the information image needed by the Kremlin.<\/p>\n

In addition, Russia imposes a distorted version of Ukrainian history on children in the occupied territories<\/a> . The CPR noted that education at TOT is being used as a tool of assimilation and propaganda.<\/p>\n
