Over 3 billion hryvnias in reported, identified, and prevented damage to the state budget, 468 criminal proceedings, and 389 announced suspicions\u2014these are the results of the work of the Internal Security Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the first half of 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n
Deputy Head of the Internal Security Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Bystrov, reported this to Ukrainian News<\/a> .<\/p>\n According to him, over six months the unit conducted approximately 500 official investigations and inspections, as well as five nationwide operations.<\/p>\n Among the results of his work, Bystrov cited the return of six Tu-143 Reis drones and 24 aircraft engines to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ logistics system. In the Kyiv region, he said, department employees discovered and seized over 100 stolen weapons.<\/p>\n The department places particular emphasis on combating draft evasion schemes. Specifically, as part of Operation “Guardian,” 515 searches were conducted and 389 suspects were issued.<\/p>\n According to Bystrov, these include schemes using fictitious military units, forged medical documents, and other illegal grounds for exempting conscripts from service. The agency claims that such schemes could potentially affect tens of thousands of people.<\/p>\n The Directorate of Internal Security also reported the exposure of violations related to the use and safety of military property, corruption, and abuse of office.<\/p>\n The Internal Security Directorate within the Main Directorate of the Military Law Enforcement Service was established in June 2023.
