The New York Times has released<\/a> a ranking of the 100 best television series that have aired since January 1, 2000. The series “Breaking Bad” took first place on the list, and more than 500 actors, showrunners and other representatives of the television industry were involved in the voting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the terms of the survey, the rating did not include series that debuted before 2000, including “The Sopranos.” Among the voting participants were actors Elisabeth Moss, Adam Scott, Bryan Cranston, Rose Byrne, Colman Domingo and Jason Bateman, as well as showrunners Damon Lindelof, Lena Dunham, Lena Waithe and Noah Hawley.<\/p>\n

1st place \u2014 “Breaking Bad” (“Breaking Bad”)<\/strong> . The main roles were played by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. The journalists of the publication noted that the series combined technical accuracy with a deep moral study of the transformation of an ordinary person into a criminal.<\/p>\n

2nd place \u2014 “The Wire” (The Wire)<\/strong> . David Simon’s drama shows Baltimore through the prism of the police, drug trafficking, dock workers and local authorities. The main roles are Dominic West, Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and Wendell Pierce. According to showrunner Brett Goldstein, it was this series that taught him to understand how the world works.<\/p>\n

Host Andy Cohen noted that the series depicted extremely wealthy people without a single character to sympathize with, while remaining surprisingly fascinating.<\/p>\n

Created and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the series about a young woman who destroys her own life combines comedy with an exploration of grief and relationships. Weiss noted that they consider the appearance of the show to be a real happiness.<\/p>\n

10th place \u2014 “Atlanta”<\/strong> . Donald Glover’s series about the music industry and African-American culture in Atlanta, combining elements of comedy, drama, and surrealism.<\/p>\n

11th place \u2014 “The Office” (USA).<\/strong> An American adaptation of the British series starring Steve Carell, which ran for nine seasons and became a cultural phenomenon.<\/p>\n
