The Third Army Corps announced the liberation of Novy, Ridkodub, and Katerynivka, as well as the restoration of control over Karpivka and Novomykhailivka. According to the corps, during the operation, Russian troops lost about 2,000 soldiers, more than 250 Russians were captured.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the military, during the third phase of Operation Vivaldi, Ukrainian forces regained control of 51 km\u00b2 of territory, and in total since the start of the offensive \u2014 176 km\u00b2.<\/p>\n

The commander of the Third Army Corps, Andriy Biletsky, stated that the main target of the third phase of the operation was Novye, which the military calls a key hub for Russian forces on the bridgehead.<\/p>\n

“The enemy was convinced that the main direction of the strike was Shandrygolovye – Zelena Dolyna. This forced him to burn his reserves in counterattacks in this direction. The Russians missed the real strike, which was focused on taking Novy,” said Biletsky.<\/p>\n

The corps noted that Soviet BTR-60 armored personnel carriers converted into robotic complexes were used to break through the Russian defenses. According to the military, they were used to destroy the fortifications of the Russian forces.<\/p>\n

The Third Army Corps also stated that Russian military personnel surrendered in whole units, including officers, pilots, and artillerymen.<\/p>\n

Fighters from the Third Assault Brigade, the 3rd Border Detachment named after Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevheniy Pikus, and the 10th Mobile Border Detachment “Dozor” also participated in the assault operations.<\/p>\n

According to the corps, the 3rd Border Detachment has regained full control over Ridkodub and established defenses on new lines. <\/p>\n
