The building of the National Taras Shevchenko Museum was damaged due to the Russian attack on the capital on September 28.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The department noted that the museum in the center of the capital was damaged during the shelling. Experts are currently inspecting the building and determining the extent of the damage.<\/p>\n

The Taras Shevchenko National Museum is a literary and art museum dedicated to the life and work of the Ukrainian poet, artist, philosopher, and public intellectual.<\/p>\n

Russian attacks have already damaged the museum. On October 10, 2022, the blast wave from a massive missile strike on Kyiv also damaged its building.<\/p>\n

In particular, as a result of full-scale Russian aggression in Ukraine, damage or destruction of 2,138 cultural heritage sites and 2,640 cultural institutions was recorded.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that two academicians were killed in a Russian strike on the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv.<\/a> Former NSDC Secretary Volodymyr Horbulin was also injured, and several people are currently unaccounted for.<\/p>\n
