It was later revealed that the incident was caused by a fight between the pilots.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/liveblog-september-30-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is reported by<\/a> The Times of Israel.<\/p>\n<p> According to flight tracking systems, the plane initially transmitted code <strong>7700<\/strong> , which means a general emergency.<\/p>\n<p> Soon after, the flight reported code <strong>7500<\/strong> , an international signal of unlawful interference with the flight, including a possible hijacking of the aircraft.<\/p>\n<p> The plane then changed course over Saudi Arabia. According to Israeli media, Israeli Air Force fighter jets were scrambled after receiving a distress signal.<\/p>\n<p> The plane later landed successfully in the city of Tabuk in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mako.co.il\/news-military\/2026_q3\/Article-679bc8fcfe0f0a1026.htm#main_article=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According<\/a> to the Israeli TV channel N12, the version of the hijacking of the plane was not confirmed. The cause of the alarm was <strong>a fight between two pilots in the cockpit<\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p> The publication also reports that <strong>one of the pilots was of Russian origin, and the other was Ukrainian<\/strong> . However, N12 does not specify their citizenship.<\/p>\n<p> According to the TV channel, one of the pilots fainted during the fight.
