As a result, funding for payments to adoptive parents for the maintenance of orphans, as well as assistance to low-income families, pensioners, and labor veterans was reduced.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"831\">Even more significant cuts are planned in St. Petersburg, where government officials are proposing to reduce budget expenditures by <strong data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"711\">70.2 billion rubles<\/strong> ($828 million). In particular, they are talking about reducing funding for education, healthcare, and housing and communal services.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"833\" data-end=\"977\">At the same time, expenditures for payments to participants in the war against Ukraine and their family members are planned to be increased by an additional <strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"964\">6.4 billion rubles<\/strong> ($75.5 million).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1144\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Such decisions are being made against the backdrop of significant local budget deficits.
