With the support of the European Union, several locations for training Ukrainian military personnel are being modernized. The project involves improving living conditions, creating the necessary infrastructure, and upgrading existing facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by<\/strong> the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The initiative will be implemented under the auspices of the European External Action Service (EEAS), the Military Planning and Conduct Center (MPCC) and the EU Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine).<\/p>\n

Responsibility for the implementation of the project is assigned to the “Return Alive” charitable foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The main attention will be paid to the development of the infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s training centers. They should be transformed into modern training grounds for military personnel, taking into account combat experience.<\/p>\n

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Lyubov Galan emphasized that high-quality training of military personnel is an important component of the state’s defense.<\/p>\n

“Modernized centers allow us to train the military based on real combat experience. We thank the European Union for its support and each partner country that has already joined or will join it,” Galan noted.<\/p>\n

Partner countries can join the project<\/h3>\n

The initiative is open to financial participation from all partner states of Ukraine. Denmark is the managing body of the funds.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and Denmark signed a letter of intent to modernize one of the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As part of this agreement, Denmark allocated about 33 million euros to develop training infrastructure, improve living and sanitary conditions, and purchase equipment and drones for training military personnel.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Defense thanked the EU, Denmark, the “Return Alive” Foundation, and other partners for their assistance in developing the training system for the Ukrainian military.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the European Union countries agreed to extend the EUMAM Ukraine training mission for the Ukrainian military for another two years.<\/a> EU countries should also coordinate inspections of suspicious vessels more closely to limit Russia’s ability to finance the war through a shadow fleet.<\/p>\n
