Five regions were left without electricity this morning due to Russian strikes on the energy sector. New power outages have been reported in Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Rivne, and Kirovohrad regions. Emergency restoration work is already underway where security conditions allow.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> NPC Ukrenergo.<\/p>\n

It is noted that energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all outage consumers as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

“The forced application of hourly power outages and capacity limitation schedules for industrial consumers, forecasted the previous day, are currently not being applied,” the energy company noted.<\/p>\n

In some regions, including Kyiv, Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, it is necessary to consume electricity economically in the evening. Consumers are urged to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 17:00 to 22:00. This will help reduce the load on the power system and the risk of forced restrictions due to overloading of equipment damaged by Russian shelling.<\/p>\n

As of 09:30 on October 1, electricity consumption was 2.1% higher than at the same time the day before. The reason was cloudy weather in parts of the southeastern regions. As a result, household solar power plants produce less electricity, and the load on the general network increases accordingly.<\/p>\n

The daily maximum consumption on September 30 fell in the evening hours. It remained at the same level as the maximum of the previous day, September 29.<\/p>\n

Ukrenergo advises, if possible, to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances to the period from 10:00 to 16:00, when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the energy company emphasizes that the situation in the energy system may change. Consumers are advised to follow the latest messages on the websites and official social media pages of their distribution system operators (oblenergo).<\/p>\n
