The White House is monitoring reports of a possible case of plague in Russia and quarantine measures introduced after the death of an employee of the anti-plague institute in the Irkutsk region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> Axios, citing a representative of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

According to the official, the White House is \u201caware of the situation, monitoring the outbreak, and evaluating possible options for action.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is about the death of 28-year-old Daria Shipilova<\/strong> , an employee of the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute.<\/p>\n

After her death, quarantine measures were introduced in the region, and about 200 people<\/strong> who may have come into contact with her were placed under medical observation.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the Russian authorities have not officially confirmed that Shipilova was infected with the plague.<\/p>\n

According to Russian media reports, one version is that she may have broken a test tube containing the pneumonic plague pathogen in the laboratory on September 25. However, this version has not been officially confirmed.<\/p>\n
