However, it was made about a week after several people were detained near the air base on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.<\/p>\n<p> According to The Guardian, at least <strong>10 of the 12 B-1 bombers<\/strong> departed RAF Fairford on October 4. Some of the aircraft had arrived at the base just a few days earlier as part of a planned rotation, suggesting a quick decision to withdraw them.<\/p>\n<p> On September 27, British police arrested five men near RAF Fairford on suspicion of explosives and terrorism-related offences. All were later released on bail.<\/p>\n<p> Another suspect, a British-Iranian citizen, was arrested in London on October 1. He was also later released on bail.
