Due to a fire and damage to its technical systems, the EMIL lost the opportunity to maneuver, forcing the crew to abandon ship.<\/p>\n<p> After this, the vessel drifted for a long time in Romania&#8217;s economic zone. Sea currents subsequently carried it south toward the Bulgarian coast.<\/p>\n<p> The abandoned ship was discovered by Bulgarian Navy helicopters.
