To do so, the country must obtain official approval from France.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken stated this in an interview <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrinform.ua\/rubric-ato\/4171225-belgia-peredast-ukraini-f16-z-modernizovanou-sistemou-reb-ministr-oboroni.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">with Ukrinform<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p> According to him, the aircraft were modernized using French electronic warfare technology. That&#8217;s why Paris&#8217;s permission is needed to transfer them to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;We can do this fairly quickly. Once approved, we&#8217;ll be able to provide the F-16s. I believe this will be agreed upon soon. Then we&#8217;ll begin organizing the logistics,&#8221; Franken noted.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, the Belgian company Sabena Engineering continues to service Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets. Currently, the company repairs approximately four aircraft monthly, and this figure may increase to six in the future.<\/p>\n<p> Furthermore, Belgium continues to supply Ukraine with F-16 ammunition.
