New Delhi is also discussing grain exports and energy supplies with both countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-10-05\/india-seeks-bigger-role-in-effort-to-end-the-russia-ukraine-war\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> this, citing Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.<\/p>\n<p> According to him, in recent months, India has begun to play a more direct role in efforts to end Russia&#8217;s war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p> New Delhi is holding talks with Moscow and Kyiv primarily on the security of shipping in the Black Sea. The parties have also discussed the possibility of reducing the intensity of hostilities and agreements on a mutual cessation of attacks.<\/p>\n<p> Jaishankar said that India had intensified these contacts after the attacks in July that killed and injured Indian sailors.<\/p>\n<p> Initially, the talks focused on maritime security. Later, the parties began discussing the possibility of facilitating grain exports through the Black Sea, as well as the issue of energy supplies.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, Jaishankar stressed that there is no guarantee that an agreement will be reached at this time.
