As a result, it was possible to free up UAH 15.6 billion, which will be directed to the more urgent needs of the Defense Forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"337\" data-end=\"386\">This <a href=\"https:\/\/mod.gov.ua\/news\/minoborony-spilno-z-henshtabom-ta-ksl-vyvilniat-15-6-mlrd-hrn-na-aktualni-potreby-viiska\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> by the defense ministry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"388\" data-end=\"526\">The decision was made after analyzing existing contracts and planned purchases, taking into account the current needs of the military and changes on the battlefield.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"528\" data-end=\"761\">Some purchases have lost priority, so some contracts will be terminated, and some planned contracts will be abandoned. The volumes of supplies for some items have also been reduced in accordance with the current needs of the army.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"818\">Among the reasons for reviewing procurement at the Ministry of Defense were:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li data-section-id=\"ygium7\" data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"889\">individual weapons no longer meet current combat missions;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li data-section-id=\"125ec36\" data-start=\"890\" data-end=\"998\">some manufacturers cannot produce the planned quantity of products or samples have not yet been codified;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li data-section-id=\"m75l16\" data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1056\">part of the needs are already covered by funds from partner countries;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul data-start=\"820\" data-end=\"1153\">\n<li data-section-id=\"nmp0yn\" data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1153\">Some combat missions can be performed with cheaper means by purchasing them in larger quantities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1356\">&#8220;It is important to constantly analyze the needs of the troops and review procurement in accordance with changes on the battlefield. We did this together with the General Staff,&#8221; said Deputy Defense Minister Mstislav Banik.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1358\" data-end=\"1503\">The General Staff has identified a list of procurements that are subject to review. The Ministry of Defense has transferred the relevant documents to the Defense Procurement Agency.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1692\">The Ministry of Defense noted that the termination of current contracts will take place in accordance with the law.
