Ukraine has taken another step towards abolishing the exemption for international parcels worth up to 150 euros. The relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada recommended that the parliament adopt the relevant bill in the second reading.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.<\/p>\n

According to him, on October 6, the bill was supported by 17 members of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy. Three more deputies abstained, including Zheleznyak himself.<\/p>\n

The People’s Deputy noted that before the second reading, the basic concept of the document had not changed. At the same time, a provision was added to it on the abolition of simplifications for politically exposed persons (PEPs).<\/p>\n

According to government calculations, the cancellation of the benefit for parcels up to 150 euros could bring an additional UAH 6 billion to the budget.<\/p>\n

The new rules will not come into effect until July 1, 2027. The specific date will depend on when the government prepares the necessary system for this.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Zheleznyak suggested that the changes may not work even in 2028.<\/p>\n

Recall, earlier “Pryamiy” told what duties and VAT are currently required to be paid for purchases from Temu and AliExpress<\/a> . According to current rules, goods in international shipments worth up to 150 euros are exempt from taxation.<\/p>\n
