Russian forces continue to attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. As of the morning of October 7, new power outages were recorded in Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Kherson regions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> NPC Ukrenergo.<\/p>\n

Where the security situation allows, power engineers are already carrying out emergency restoration work. Specialists are doing everything possible to restore power supply to consumers as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Due to damage caused by Russian shelling, as well as the need to prevent equipment overload, capacity restrictions for industry and hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers are currently in effect throughout the day in some regions. The volume of restrictions ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 queues.<\/p>\n

Consumers are urged to use electricity sparingly during the restrictions. Information on outage schedules for specific addresses, as well as the time and duration of power outages, can be checked on the official resources of local distribution system operators.<\/p>\n

As of 09:30 on October 7, electricity consumption was 4.3% lower<\/strong> than at the same time the previous day.<\/p>\n

Ukrenergo explained that the indicators were influenced by clear weather in most regions, which increases the efficiency of household solar power plants and, accordingly, reduces electricity consumption from the general network. The level of consumption was also affected by the forced application of restrictions in some regions.<\/p>\n

The daily maximum consumption on October 6 fell in the evening. It was 2.2% lower<\/strong> than the maximum of the previous day, October 5.<\/p>\n

At the same time, consumers are recommended to postpone the use of powerful electrical appliances to the period from 10:00 to 16:00<\/strong> , when solar power plants operate most efficiently.<\/p>\n

Ukrenergo emphasized that the situation in the power system may change due to Russian attacks. Ukrainians were urged to follow current messages on the websites and official social media pages of their distribution system operators.<\/p>\n
