Russia plans to intensify strikes on bridges across the Dnieper River in Kyiv to disrupt communication between the banks of the capital and paralyze the city in winter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the publication, Vladimir Putin instructed Russian General Sergei Surovikin to focus on strikes on Kyiv bridges.<\/p>\n

The purpose of such attacks, as the publication claims, is not necessarily the complete destruction of the crossings. Even serious damage to individual structures can lead to long-term traffic disruptions and significantly complicate communication between the right and left banks of the Dnieper.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph writes that seven bridges across the Dnieper River in Kyiv may be under threat.<\/p>\n

At the same time, there is currently no independent confirmation of information about Putin’s personal order to Surovikin.<\/p>\n

Russian troops have been attacking Kyiv bridges for several days in a row. In particular, strikes have been directed at the Southern and Northern bridges, which has led to restrictions or complete halts to traffic through some crossings.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, earlier in Kyiv, traffic patterns across bridges were changed after Russian attacks<\/a> . The Southern Bridge was completely closed, and restrictions were introduced at other crossings.<\/p>\n
