Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a Ukrainian delegation will hold talks with the United States on October 9 and 10. At the same time, he called on Washington to increase economic pressure on Russia, rather than discuss future cooperation with it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During a visit to Pryluky together with British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian negotiators would meet with the American side on Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

The president also responded to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s statement that peace talks had reached an impasse.<\/p>\n

Zelensky disagreed with this assessment and emphasized that the US should tighten sanctions against Russia instead of offering Moscow economic projects.<\/p>\n

“You can’t, on the one hand, negotiate with Russia about some economic projects for the future, and on the other hand, talk about a diplomatic deadlock. We are not in a diplomatic deadlock. Close the entire economy to it. Sew up Russia’s mouth. Don’t feed them with your sales, impose sanctions on their weapons,” the president said.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that there are currently no prospects for resolving the war in Ukraine through diplomatic means<\/a> . At the same time, the United States is ready to continue to play a constructive role in finding a solution. <\/p>\n
