US President Donald Trump announced an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to supply Russian diesel fuel to the US and world markets. According to him, Russia should immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of fuel, and then – several million more tons.<\/strong><\/div>\n

He wrote about this in Truth Social<\/a> .<\/p>\n

Trump said he had concluded a “very successful discussion” with Putin, during which the parties agreed on supplies of Russian diesel fuel.<\/p>\n

According to him, Russia will immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel to the American and global markets, another 500,000 tons during November, and 1 million tons after that.<\/p>\n

“In addition, given the state of its diesel refineries, Russia will then, as soon as possible, deliver 3 million tons of diesel fuel,” Trump wrote.<\/p>\n

He also said that thanks to US control of the Strait of Hormuz and Russian energy supplies, diesel prices in the US and around the world will quickly fall to record lows. Trump stressed that lowering prices for Americans is his top priority.<\/p>\n

After the politicians’ conversation, the US Treasury Department announced<\/a> that, at Trump’s direction, it was immediately issuing a temporary license allowing the supply of Russian diesel fuel to world markets.<\/p>\n

According to document No. 135<\/a> , dated October 9, 2026, sanctions on Russian diesel fuel were lifted until April 7, 2027. At the same time, the license does not allow funds to be written off from the accounts of the Central Bank of Russia, the National Welfare Fund, and the Russian Ministry of Finance in American financial institutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It was previously reported that representatives of the United States and Russia are discussing the possible involvement of an American investor in the Nord Stream gas pipelines<\/a> . The talks are taking place against the backdrop of attempts by Washington and Moscow to agree on an end to the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, at the end of September, Kirill Dmitriev met with Trump representatives in New York<\/a> . The parties discussed relations between Washington and Moscow and the end of the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The Trump administration had previously considered business deals with Russia before the war ended<\/a> , citing economic incentives for the Russian side as one of the reasons.<\/p>\n
