Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is ready to agree to an energy truce with Russia. At the same time, he noted that US President Donald Trump’s statement about a corresponding agreement was news for Kyiv.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As is known, Trump stated that Ukraine and Russia had allegedly agreed to stop attacking each other’s energy facilities. However, before this statement, the Ukrainian side was not aware of such an agreement.<\/p>\n

Zelenskyy admitted to reporters that the American president’s message surprised him.<\/p>\n

“It was news to me. But if the Russians agree to an energy truce, Ukraine will agree,” Zelensky said.<\/p>\n

The President of Ukraine also asked the American side to clarify when exactly the ceasefire should begin.<\/p>\n

“If President Trump has agreed on this with Putin, please tell us when the ceasefire begins. We are ready, and we will accept it,” Zelensky stressed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
