Petro Poroshenko discussed with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos ways to accelerate Ukraine’s progress towards EU membership.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I welcomed the publication of the European Commission’s proposals on preparing the EU for further enlargement and thanked Marty Kos for his personal contribution to ensuring the earliest possible opening of the next clusters within the framework of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. We discussed the fulfillment by our state of obligations in the field of democracy, the rule of law, the fight against corruption, and multi-party pluralism,” Poroshenko reported on social networks<\/a> .<\/p>\n

“He stressed that adherence to democratic values cannot be selective and depend on the political situation. He assured that European Solidarity is committed to systematic and constructive work on the adoption of draft laws necessary to accelerate Ukraine’s movement towards EU membership, on the principles of shared responsibility and inclusiveness,” Poroshenko wrote.<\/p>\n

“We agreed to continue our fruitful dialogue. Thank you, Commissioner, for your understanding and support,” the fifth President writes.<\/p>\n
