The Russians are advertising a so-called “resettlement program” to occupied Donetsk for residents of the Ukrainian-controlled part of the region. People are promised free housing, but the Center for Countering Disinformation warns that Russian special services may be behind this.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Center for Countering Disinformation.<\/p>\n

In particular, the head of the occupation administration of Donetsk Oblast, Denys Pushylin, stated that allegedly more than 300 people have already applied to move to Donetsk via a special chatbot.<\/p>\n

The CPD explained that in this way Russian propaganda is trying to create the impression that Ukrainians want to move en masse to the occupied territories and support Russia.<\/p>\n

To disseminate this information, the occupiers involve Kremlin-controlled media and representatives of the occupation authorities.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Ukrainians are urged not to use Russian chatbots that offer to arrange resettlement. This is because Russians can collect people’s personal data in this way.<\/p>\n

The Center warned that Russian special services could use this information to blackmail and recruit Ukrainians, in particular to organize sabotage against Ukraine.<\/p>\n
