All EU countries have agreed to open the second and third negotiation clusters for Ukraine and Moldova. This was announced on the eve of October 13, which Irish Minister for Europe Thomas Byrne called “Super Tuesday” for countries aspiring to join the EU.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the minister, the EU countries have reached an agreement on further steps in the accession negotiations of Ukraine, Moldova, Albania, and Montenegro.<\/p>\n

“After Montenegro’s Monday, there will be another ‘Super Tuesday’ for Albania, Moldova, and Ukraine,” Byrne wrote.<\/p>\n

He clarified that all EU member states have agreed to open clusters 2 and 3 to Ukraine and Moldova. They cover issues of the internal market, competitiveness, and economic development.<\/p>\n

In addition, the European Union agreed to close negotiation chapters 17, 18 and 19 for Albania, as well as chapter 20 for Montenegro.<\/p>\n

Thus, October 13 could be an important day for several countries negotiating accession to the European Union.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed amendments to the law on education<\/a> , which guarantee the right of children from national minorities and indigenous peoples to study in their native language. European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Cos said that on October 13, they plan to open 2 more negotiation clusters on Ukraine’s path to joining the European Union.<\/p>\n
