In Kyiv, the usual division into queues and subqueues for power outages has been abolished. Now each house has an individual schedule, which depends on the address and the characteristics of the electricity connection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Due to the difficult situation in the power system, the command of NPC Ukrenergo in Kyiv is applying stabilization outages according to individual schedules. The usual division into queues and sub-queues in the capital is no longer there,” the company said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The outage schedule is calculated separately for each building. Therefore, even in neighboring buildings, the lights can be turned off and on at different times. This is due to the technical features of the electrical networks.<\/p>\n

You can check the schedule at a specific address on the official website of DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks, in the “Kyiv Digital” application, or in the company’s chat bots on Telegram and Viber.<\/p>\n

Why the schedule may change<\/strong><\/p>\n

The published schedule is indicative, as the situation in the power system may change during the day. The duration and timing of outages are influenced by new commands of NPC Ukrenergo, the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, damage to networks, and technical accidents.<\/p>\n

In the event of a critical electricity shortage, emergency outages may be implemented that do not correspond to the planned schedule. Therefore, Kyiv residents are advised to regularly check the current information at their address.<\/p>\n

How to use electrical appliances after the power is restored<\/strong><\/p>\n

To reduce the load on the network and avoid local accidents, energy experts advise not to turn on all powerful equipment immediately after electricity appears.<\/p>\n

After power is restored, it is worth waiting 20\u201330 minutes before using energy-intensive appliances. Boilers, heaters, washing machines and electric stoves should be turned on alternately, not simultaneously.<\/p>\n
