Ukraine will resume attacks on Russian oil refineries because Moscow has not stopped its attacks on Ukrainian energy, President Volodymyr Zelensky said after a three-day pause that Kyiv observed at the request of the United States.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said<\/a> this in an interview with the Financial Times.<\/p>\n

“There are no more restrictions on strikes on refineries. We have had enough,” Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n

According to the president, Washington asked Ukraine to temporarily refrain from attacking Russian energy facilities. However, Russian forces continued to shell Ukrainian energy infrastructure and strike civilians. Over the past week, Zelensky noted, more than 100 people have been killed.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, the US insisted on stopping the strikes on Russian refineries, arguing that it was necessary to reduce fuel prices in the country. To this end, Washington was also considering agreements on the supply of Russian diesel fuel.<\/p>\n

Zelensky also spoke about the problems the Ukrainian military faced during the pause. According to him, they did not receive American warnings about the approach of ballistic missiles, and the work of Starlink slowed down. This complicated the actions of Ukrainian units on the front and medium-range strikes on Russian military facilities.<\/p>\n

The president claims that the US military warned Ukrainian counterparts about the possible interruption of intelligence transmission if the attacks on Russian energy continued. The outages were later explained as a technical malfunction, but Zelensky did not agree with this explanation for the problems with Starlink.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the head of state emphasized that cooperation with the United States remains important for confronting Russia.<\/p>\n

“Russia can fight against all of us, but only when we are not together,” Zelensky said.<\/p>\n
