In the Verkhovna Rada, more than 40 people’s deputies have already signed an initiative to repeal the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution of October 13, which changes the rules for reserving military conscripts. Some more parliamentarians have promised to join after the plenary session ends.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.<\/p>\n

According to him, he initiated the collection of signatures for a draft resolution of the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for the cancellation of the government decision and consultations with business representatives.<\/p>\n

Zheleznyak also proposes to abandon the creation of the Coordination Center, which should resolve issues of granting enterprises the status of critical, and involve businesses in making decisions on reservations.<\/p>\n

Speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, the MP criticized the government for adopting the changes without prior consultations with business and parliamentarians. In his opinion, the new rules could lead to job losses and create serious problems for Ukrainian businesses.<\/p>\n

Zheleznyak called on his colleagues to support the initiative and expressed hope that by the next meeting with the participation of the government, the number of signatures would exceed one hundred.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on October 13, the Cabinet of Ministers approved amendments to the rules for reserving military personnel<\/a> . They concern the limits for reserving employees and the procedure for granting enterprises the status of critical.<\/p>\n

In particular, the government considered the possibility of reducing the reservation limit for defense industry and energy enterprises from 100% to 85%, and for heat and water supply and waste management enterprises from 75% to 60%.<\/p>\n

In addition, the project envisages the creation of a Coordination Center with the participation of representatives of state bodies and law enforcement agencies. It should participate in decision-making regarding critical enterprises.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the government still has to finalize the resolution. The final list of changes will be known after the document is published. <\/p>\n
