However, the new rules will not apply to Ukrainians who already have such status.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/rtcg.me\/vijesti\/drustvo\/893154\/vlada-poostrila-uslove-za-privremenu-zastitu-ukrajinskih-vojnih-obveznika-u-crnoj-gori.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported by<\/a> the Montenegrin public broadcaster RTCG.<\/p>\n<p> According to the new rules, Ukrainians subject to military service will be able to receive temporary protection in Montenegro only under certain conditions. In particular, they must actually reside in Ukraine before arriving in the country, and must have completed their military service or be legally exempted from it.<\/p>\n<p> At the same time, Ukrainians who have already received temporary protection in Montenegro will not have to go through a new procedure due to the introduced restrictions. These changes do not apply to them.<\/p>\n<p> The Government of Montenegro explained that the new requirements are in line with the decision of the Council of the European Union of July 30, 2026.<\/p>\n<p> As a reminder, European countries are gradually reviewing the conditions of stay for Ukrainians who left due to Russia&#8217;s full-scale invasion.
