Ukraine is pushing for a ban on entry into the European Union for Russians who participated in the war against Ukraine, as well as their family members. Kyiv is already seeing some progress in restricting the movement of Russian citizens and is preparing additional proposals to strengthen such measures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated<\/a> by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga to journalists, Ukrinform reports.<\/p>\n

According to the Foreign Minister, participation in Russian aggression against Ukraine should lead to specific consequences, in particular, the loss of the opportunity to visit European countries.<\/p>\n

“Russians must clearly understand: by signing a contract for military service, they receive a ban on entry to the EU. These so-called Russian “veterans”, who are in fact war criminals, later try to spend time in Europe. They must be deprived of this right, because they pose a direct threat,” said Sibiga.<\/p>\n

The Minister noted that Kyiv is already recording positive changes in the issue of restricting the movement of Russians, their entry into the European Union, and issuing them visas. Ukraine plans to continue working in this direction and propose new approaches.<\/p>\n

“We see progress in restricting their movement, entry, and visa issuance and will develop this topic. There are other creative ideas. Russian citizens must pay for supporting this war,” the Foreign Minister emphasized.<\/p>\n

Sibiga called for the closure of Russian cultural centers in Europe<\/h2>\n

Separately, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy drew attention to the activities of Russian cultural centers abroad, known as “Russian houses.” He believes that these institutions are used for espionage, spreading propaganda, and coordinating sabotage.<\/p>\n

“These are known centers of espionage, information propaganda networks, coordination centers for sabotage and sabotage. Therefore, they need to be given a clear assessment and closed throughout Europe, as they pose a direct threat to security,” Sibiga emphasized.<\/p>\n

According to the minister, Western partners are aware of the threats associated with Russia’s activities on the territory of European states.<\/p>\n

Earlier, it was reported that Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said: Ukraine hopes to complete the formalization of an agreement with Poland on a loan of 125 million euros for the purchase of Polish weapons by the end of 2026.<\/a> Kyiv is also ready to conclude a Drone Deal with Warsaw on cooperation in the field of drones and develop joint weapons production.<\/p>\n
