Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on a possible meeting between Donald Trump, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin. He stressed that Ukraine should participate in the negotiations if its future is discussed at them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The head of state stated<\/a> this in an interview with the Italian publication Corriere della Sera.<\/p>\n

Answering the question of whether he is afraid of making decisions regarding Ukraine without its participation, Zelenskyy noted that he would like to understand the plans for a possible summit in order to avoid new surprises.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe problem is not only whether they will meet with us or without us. Unfortunately, Putin\u2019s gradual exit from isolation has already begun. This would not be the first step,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Zelensky stressed that Ukraine must be involved in the discussion of issues that directly concern it. He refused to comment on other possible topics of the negotiations, as he did not know their content.<\/p>\n

Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed holding a trilateral summit with US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping<\/a> to discuss ending the war against Ukraine. The proposed format does not include the participation of President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga has spoken out against a summit between the United States, China and Russia<\/a> , saying it would only strengthen Putin’s international position and encourage him to continue the war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n
