TikTok, Snapchat and Roblox could be banned.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regjeringen.no\/no\/aktuelt\/malrettar-aldersgrensa-mot-skadelege-plattformer\/id3178283\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> by the Norwegian government.<\/p>\n<p> The bill would impose age restrictions on platforms that pose a risk to the health, emotional and cognitive development, or safety of children. These could extend beyond social media to gaming and communication services.<\/p>\n<p> According to Minister of Children and Family Affairs Lene Vogsled, these are platforms with harmful content, addictive features, illegal advertising, and the risk of unwanted communication with strangers.<\/p>\n<p> The government believes that TikTok, Snapchat, and Roblox, in their current form, will fall under the future law. At the same time, it plans to evaluate the platforms based on the risks they pose to children.<\/p>\n<p> The responsibility for age verification will be placed on technology companies, and the authorities hope the new requirements will encourage them to remove dangerous content and features that encourage excessive use of the platforms.<\/p>\n<p> The proposed restriction will be in effect until January 1 of the year in which the child turns 16.
