In Odessa, a driver who was stopped at a checkpoint wounded a TCK serviceman in the neck with an object resembling a knife, and then tried to run him over with his car. The man was detained on the spot, and the wounded serviceman was taken to the hospital.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Odessa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred on October 20 during the work of a joint alert group, which included servicemen of the CCC and officers of the National Police. At a checkpoint, they discovered a car whose driver was trying to escape and created an emergency situation.<\/p>\n

After stopping the vehicle, law enforcement officers determined that the man was wanted for violating military registration rules. During the check, he resisted and wounded a serviceman in the neck with an object that looked like a knife. After that, the driver tried to run him over with his car.<\/p>\n

“The offender was detained at the scene. The injured serviceman was immediately taken to a medical facility, where he was provided with the necessary assistance; he is under the supervision of doctors,” the Odessa Regional CCC and SP reported.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation into the attack. They must establish the legal qualification of the detainee’s actions and decide whether to hold him criminally liable.<\/p>\n

The Odessa Regional CCC condemned the attack on a serviceman while performing his duties and emphasized the inadmissibility of violence against Ukrainian defenders.<\/p>\n
