We proposed giving 30% directly to the brigades and leaving the remaining 10% to the State Special Communications Service,” she explained.

European Solidarity also demands an increase in military pay. “The military’s basic pay should at least be indexed to the previous year’s inflation rate, as required by the Budget Code,” the MP said.

European Solidarity also insists on maintaining the financial solvency of local communities within the framework of the formation of the State Budget.

“There are a lot of attacks on local budgets because the central authorities think they can take everything from the grassroots, without understanding the conceptual, fundamental meaning of decentralization. And to return everything to the way it was before, the centralization of all expenditures is clearly visible in the 2027 budget,” she noted.

“I can’t ignore the attempts to reduce Kyiv’s funding, because even in this project, funds that should go to the Kyiv city budget—50% of bank profit tax—are being diverted to the state budget’s general fund, which amounts to about 5 billion hryvnias. We must do everything possible to ensure that the skeleton of decentralization, the skeleton of local budgets, is not destroyed,” Yuzhanina said.

“Our faction will insist on all its key amendments. And we will fight in the House to ensure they are included in the first reading of the 2027 budget draft,” the deputy noted.

As is known, European Solidarity demands the removal of all populist and corrupt spending items from the draft 2027 State Budget. At the same time, the released funds should be used exclusively for defense and strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to party leader Petro Poroshenko, the redistribution of non-targeted spending will allow for at least half a trillion hryvnias to be allocated to the military.

“Our demands are specific: at least 500 billion hryvnias in additional resources for the military, for the purchase of weapons and defense technology; 30 percent of the military’s personal income tax directly to the brigades; indexation of pay; protection of the energy sector and the economy; the cancellation of non-priority and propaganda spending; fulfillment of European commitments and restoration of allied trust,” Poroshenko noted.

Also follow “Pryamy” on Facebook , X , Telegram and Instagram .

At a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee, the European Solidarity faction advocated for funding for the Ukrainian Defense Forces and local budgets.
