Russia plans to hold a so-called international teleconference to accuse the Armed Forces of Ukraine of crimes against the civilian population and divert attention from its own war crimes in the occupied territories, in particular in Oleshki, Kherson region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to the Russian plan, the event is to take place on October 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the format of a group video call on Zoom. Its declared topic is “Crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the civilian population of the Zaporizhzhia region.” They plan to involve representatives of 80 countries, diplomats to the UN and OSCE, representatives of the BRICS and CIS, as well as international humanitarian organizations. Simultaneous translation into English, Spanish, and French is provided for participants.<\/p>\n

Sanctioned collaborator Rodion Miroshnyk has been appointed as the main speaker. Representatives of the Russian occupation administrations, in particular Yevhen Balytsky and Mykhailo Pukhov, are also scheduled to speak. In addition, the Russians plan to involve established “witnesses” and “victims of crimes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”<\/p>\n

The event is also expected to be attended by Russia Today propagandists, representatives of Russian embassies and the so-called “Russian houses” controlled by the special services, and branches of “Rossotrudnichestvo” in various countries, including Zambia, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Mongolia, and Malaysia.<\/p>\n

By organizing this information operation, the Kremlin seeks to divert attention from Russia’s war crimes and the catastrophic humanitarian situation in occupied Oleshki, which has developed due to the actions of the Russian invaders.<\/p>\n

Another goal of the operation is to weaken international support for Ukraine. Russia is trying to discredit the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the governments of European countries against the backdrop of the EU Council approving a \u20ac90 billion loan for Ukraine and the creation of an EU-Ukraine alliance in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.<\/p>\n

The Russian regime hopes that the disinformation campaign will undermine trust in Ukraine and reduce support from international partners.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that a humanitarian catastrophe is ongoing in the temporarily occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region.<\/a> About two thousand people remain in the city, who have critical problems with access to food and medicine, while the possibility of leaving is effectively blocked.<\/p>\n

Later, it was reported that the Ukrainian military delivered humanitarian aid to occupied Oleshki for the second time, handing over almost 4 tons of food, medicine, and baby kits to the residents.<\/a><\/p>\n
