The High Anti-Corruption Court extended part of the procedural obligations of former Energy Minister German Galushchenko, who is suspected of corruption, for another two months. However, the court did not extend the requirement to wear an electronic bracelet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Anti-Corruption Action Center<\/a> reported this.<\/p>\n

Galushchenko must remain in Kyiv and the surrounding region and not leave without court permission. He is also required to surrender his passports before traveling abroad.<\/p>\n

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until his guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a guilty verdict of the court. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

NABU previously reported on investigative actions as part of the special operation “Forest Gump.” At the time, the agency did not disclose the names of the defendants or other details of the investigation, promising to release more information later.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, significant progress has been made in the investigation into the “Midas” criminal case. The case involves, among others, businessman Timur Mindich and his business partner, Alexander Tsukerman.<\/a><\/p>\n

Furthermore, NABU and SAP also reported a new suspect as part of Operation Midas.<\/a> The former executive director for physical protection and security at JSC NNEGC Energoatom is suspected of money laundering.<\/p>\n

The NABU also filed charges against six more participants in the “Midas” case.<\/a> They are suspected of laundering criminally obtained property on an especially large scale.<\/p>\n

In particular, business and political circles report that searches are underway at the homes of People’s Deputy Vadim Stolar and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Irina Mudra.<\/a><\/p>\n
