American billionaire Elon Musk has again criticized Ukraine for using Starlink satellite communications for military operations and called for sympathy for the Russian military. He stated that the deaths of Ukrainians and Russians must stop, and Russian conscripts allegedly have no choice but to fight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He wrote about this in X.<\/a><\/p>\n

Musk commented on a user’s post<\/a> suggesting that the entrepreneur opposes the use of Starlink for military purposes due to the reluctance to contribute to murder and the risk of turning the satellite system into a legitimate military target.<\/p>\n

“The endless deaths of Ukrainians and Russians must stop. We must also sympathize with the poor Russian conscripts<\/strong> . These guys have no choice but to fight and die from drone strikes,” Musk wrote<\/a> .<\/p>\n

The businessman had previously criticized the Ukrainian military’s use of Starlink for medium-range drone strikes, saying it contradicted the system’s terms of service.<\/p>\n

“For all these fools: Zelensky himself posted about using Starlink for offensive drone strikes, which has always been against Starlink’s terms of service,” Musk wrote.<\/p>\n

To his post, he attached a screenshot of a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy from October 16, made during a conversation with journalists in Brussels.<\/p>\n

Zelensky explained that Ukraine does not use Starlink for operations on Russian territory. According to him, the system is used to intercept Shahed-type jet drones that attack civilians, as well as for medium-range strikes on military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The president also reported that due to the reduction in Starlink speed, the Ukrainian military lost the ability to intercept some of the Shahed jets. In addition, the system is used to deliver food and water to soldiers on the front lines using drones.<\/p>\n

According to Zelensky, Starlink speed had not yet been fully restored at the time of the statement, although the restoration process was ongoing.<\/p>\n

Earlier, SpaceX founder Elon Musk said that the Ukrainian military violated the terms of use of the Starlink satellite network<\/a> by using it for drone strikes. According to him, the company eliminated the possibility of such use of the network last week.<\/p>\n
